Major Art Centers in DeKalb County Announcements, Opportunities & Resources DeKalb Council for the Arts Internship Program for motivated undergraduates, recent college graduates and graduate students. These positions provide valuable insight into the business and operations of a nonprofit arts organization, with hands on training in the design, planning and implementation of arts and arts in education programs to a county wide citizenry. Academy Theatre "Theatre for Youth Tour Team" presents original plays based on issues of concern to parents, teachers, and students. Curriculum-based, grade-specific plays are done with professionally-constructed study guides. Founded in 1954, it is a resource for artists and the community, and is the oldest continuously operating organization of artists in the Southeast.
