Performance Learning through Arts in Education (PLAE)

This program’s mission is to strengthen and enhance student literacy, K-12, by integrating the arts into the Georgia Performance Standards, to increase and sustain high levels of student achievement in school, life and work, while fostering a lifelong appreciation for the arts and instilling the means for creative expression throughout life.

The PLAE Program’s goals are to enhance students’ overall classroom learning experiences, to increase arts in education skills within each school’s teaching staff via Trainer to Trainer opportunities, and to gather evidence of the PLAE Program’s positive impact on students’ mastery of the Georgia Performance Standards.
